Alderson & Associates, Inc. has built a reliable reputation with architects, contractors, facility managers, owners, and public entities as an MEP consulting firm with proven expertise in design, project management, construction administration, and commissioning of industrial, healthcare, K-12, higher education, municipal, commercial, and governmental facilities.

Alderson's corporate office is located in San Antonio, Texas with a second office in Fredericksburg, Texas. Our staff of over 30 professionals includes 9 Professional Engineers, as well as Commissioning Agents, Graduate Engineers, CAD design technicians, and administrative support personnel. We are certified as a Small Business Enterprise (SBE) by the South Texas Regional Certification Agency and as a Historically Underutilized Business (HUB by the State of Texas. We are a registered Texas Engineering Firm, Registration No. F-1008 by the Texas Board of Professional Engineers.

The foundation behind Alderson's longevity and reputation as a leading MEP design firm lies in its qualified technical staff and administrative support personnel. Several of our engineers are LEED accredited professionals who have worked on LEED Gold and Silver Certified projects. Alderson & Associates has performed Commissioning services for over 20 years on educational, governmental and healthcare projects. Our certified commissioning team members have over 15 years of experience in building systems commissioning.

Linda Alderson Principal/Owner

As Principal Owner and President, Linda Alderson is responsible for the Business Operations of Alderson & Associates, Inc. These duties include the management of the firm's financial planning, administration of the accounting systems, development of the budgeting systems, purchasing, coordination of tax reporting, and supervision of the preparation of annual reports and audits. Her Human Resources and Personnel Management duties include recruiting and staffing personnel, conducting employee performance reviews, supervising employee relations, and promoting team building and employee development, as well as administering the firm's compensation and benefits program. Ms. Alderson's other management responsibilities for Alderson & Associates, Inc. include organization development, strategic planning, marketing, public relations, contract negotiations, and supervision of office operations. She previously worked for Baptist Health System and North East Independent School District.

Dean Alderson has been the Principal Engineer of Alderson & Associates, Inc. since 1995 and has over thirty years of design and project management experience specializing in mechanical engineering and plumbing design for public and private sector clients. He has led numerous projects involving renovation and new construction of municipal, educational, industrial, commercial, retail, mission critical, and governmental facilities. Mr. Alderson has performed commissioning services on institutional, military, and industrial facilities for over 15 years. His management responsibilities for the firm include supervision of field operations, marketing, and public relations.

Steven E. Huck has served as Senior Mechanical Engineer at Alderson since 2006. He has over thirty-six years of experience in Mechanical design for Governmental, Commercial, Industrial, and Educational projects. His specialties include heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems, as well as steam and water distribution systems. Mr. Huck has performed mechanical design on various types of facilities including office facilities, central plants, university buildings, medical, military, and industrial facilities. Before coming to Alderson, Mr. Huck performed Mechanical Engineering and Plumbing design services for 17 years with Marmon Mok Architecture.

Lon Culbertson serves as Senior Electrical Engineer at Alderson & Associates. He has twenty-six years of experience in Electrical Engineering installation, design and project management for university, industrial and commercial projects. Mr. Culbertson has design experience on LEED Silver certified projects. His work experience includes power system studies and calculations, harmonic analysis, as well as detailed design. He has been lead electrical engineer for several large industrial facility expansions that involved more than doubling the existing electrical load.

Hector Carrisalez has thirty-two years of experience in mechanical systems design. His design expertise extends to a variety of mechanical systems and in performing energy studies, cost estimating, site investigations, construction administration and commissioning. Past projects have included chiller plants up to 1800 tons refrigeration, boiler plants up to 1950 boiler horsepower, thermal storage systems, energy recovery systems, medical/ laboratory gas piping systems, fume exhaust systems, plumbing systems, hydronic piping systems, refrigeration systems, and steam systems.

Scott Wells has over 20 years experience in estimating, design, implementation, start-up and commissioning of HVAC control systems. Scott Wells' experience in the United States Air Force includes modification, trouble-shooting and repair for satellite and secure voice communications systems. Scott Wells' expertise and specialties include many years of experience working with systems from JCI, Honeywell, Siemens, Alerton and Tridium, and various communication transmission and radio devices. Scott is also experienced in building codes, life safety codes and construction means and methods.
